A view of a custom straw cage for retaining custom packed straw that will keep it's
shape before and after stuccoing. The goal was to keep all layers of stucco above the
lower edge of the ledger. Room was left for curtain rods and places to attach them.

A custom straw cage stuffed. Thin scraps of plywood were placed in the bottom of the cage
to help define the lower edge of the cage and retain planarity with respect to the upper edge of
the ledger.

The kitchen corner finally strawed in. This is a major milestone.

This view conveys about half of the entire house south wall with a first coat of stucco.
