Tacking in the floor vapor barrier. I am still not convinced that this was the
proper sequence to do the floor insulation. I am now seriously considering making
a vapor barrier between the house floor and the insulation under it. In the present
mode, house moisture will easily condense on the cooler side of the insulation and degrade
the R value during the winter months. Keeping the plastic under the insulation to keep
basement moisture from getting in to it seems reasonable, yet not a likely scenario.
Some plastic under the floor inusulation would make sense as a mechanical support mechanism.
