Pyramid Butte is just inside the north boundary of Mt. Jefferson Wilderness in Oregon.
These lakes have no trails to them.
The goal was to check out Pyramid Lake for fishing and to climb Pyramid Butte.
Pyramid Butte has been a "bucket list" item for decades.
The Pacific Crest Trail runs near the SE side of Pyramid Butte.
Aside from the PCT, there are no trails in the area.
